Monroe Institute is dedicated to advancing the global awakening of human consciousness.
Pioneers in the field of exploring consciousness, Monroe Institute developed audio frequencies that play a principal role in helping people to reach and to explore states of expanded awareness that Robert A. Monroe wrote about in his three books, Journeys Out of the Body, Far Journeys and Ultimate Journey. In the 1950s, he pioneered using binaural beats to balance both hemispheres of the brain and subsequently founded the Monroe Institute in 1974, a non-profit educational and research organization renowned for its programs in leading-edge consciousness exploration.
In 1983, the US Government confirmed Monroe‘s techniques are an effective tool to accessing expanded consciousness, also used in its Remote Viewing program. In a now-declassified document, the CIA wrote an assessment of Monroe’s Gateway Process that describes how using these tools are effective in creating faster results than traditional meditation, taking hours rather than years of practice. Many participants use Gateway to enhance and to deepen their meditation practice.
The Institute has been leading tens of thousands of participants through this process for over 50 years with its Gateway Voyage program, a 6-night retreat which provides opportunities to accelerate one’s ability to go farther and faster into different dimensions of consciousness through direct experience.
The Institute actively engages in research, partnering with scientists, doctors, teachers and academics to explore the remarkable benefits of expanded states of awareness.
In Europe, Monroe Institute has an active schedule of virtual, residential and weekend programs in many languages, including English, led by the Institute’s accredited trainers.
